Filming

Last night the Everest – Expedition 8848 Camerman Tom arrived in Muktinath (3760 metres)

We will spend the next 8 days trekking the final section of the Annapurna route filming and planning the schedule for the next 14 months.

Tom comes from a military back ground but for the past 8 years has been working all over the world for companies such as the BBC filming news stories and creating documentaries. Now he has got me!

Our first days trek together bought us into the village of Jomson (2720m) I have to admit after dropping 1800m a couple of days ago my legs have seized up a bit. I think a nights rest and a long walk tomorrow will do them good. We trekked and filmed all day – stopping in the deepest canyon in the world to have tea and a couple of chocolate Bon Bon biscuits.

Tom has a great eye for a shot so at times he went on ahead to capture long range shots of the mountains.

A good day but I feel sore.
