3 mountains later

I have just returned home from Yorkshire in the UK – the area I was in is very open moor land with rolling hills – lovely views and …rain! and lot’s of it!

I was there to recce the 3 Peak Challenge with school teacher Charlie. Over the past 5 years I have guided his students on the 5 Peak challenge which is the highest peaks of GB and Ireland. They achieved this but what made it even more remarkable is that they all attend an incredible school called SHERBOURNE FIELDS SPECIAL SCHOOL http://www.sherbournefields.co.uk

So every day of their lives they face their own personal challenges – each mountain they did with me was tough – really tough but they are the only team I have ever guided that haven’t moaned. In times of complete exhaustion or strong wind, cold or rain they have pushed on ahead for themselves and their friends back in the School who were rooting for them.

This next challenge is different as it will be 3 mountains – one after the other. Over the past few days I have found it tough but I know these guys and their awesome teachers are made of the Right Stuff! I have tremendous confidence in their own abilities.

Recce complete – now the challenge begins in only 8 weeks time – come on Sherbourne!
